Professional PV Connector Manufacturer

A solar PV connector is the intermateable, touch-safe plug pair that carries DC current from a module string to the cable run. The category covers the whole DC connection chain: the module-side pair (CN4U-P), the cable-side pair (CN4U-C), Y/T branch connectors for paralleling strings, and mid-line fuse and diode connectors that sit inside the string itself.

Every connector listed here is built to the same construction: a tin-plated copper contact in a PPE/PA66 housing, a double-fixed retention that keeps the contact from backing out under thermal cycling, and a silicone seal for the mated interface. Rated values run to 1500 V DC and 70 A with contact resistance held below 0.5 mΩ, and bodies are rated IP67 to IP68 for the mated condition.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the module connector and the cable connector?

The module connector (CN4U-P) is the half that stays with the panel or the panel lead; the cable connector (CN4U-C) terminates the field cable. They share the same mating interface and are ordered as matching pairs — the pair rating, not either half alone, is what the 1500 V DC and 70 A figures apply to.

Which standard do PV connectors have to meet?

IEC 62852 is the safety standard for connectors for DC application in photovoltaic systems; UL 6703 covers the equivalent North American requirements. Both test the mated pair as a system — contact resistance, temperature rise, ingress protection, and pull-out force are measured on the pair, which is why mixing halves from different manufacturers invalidates the rating.

Can I mix Treasol connectors with other brands?

The housing geometry follows the MC4-compatible interface, so the parts mate mechanically. Whether the pair is safe to use is a separate question: the certified rating only covers a tested pair. Our cross-mating guide sets out what to check before mixing brands on a live string.
